Benjamin Talent Management

Benjamin Talent Management is the brainchild of Arizona photographer Josh Benjamin. After a recommendation to work with various talent agencies, he got to know models, producers, and professionals in the entertainment industry. He made the choice to open BTM after learning the process that most talent agencies make people go through to get signed, obtain jobs, and stay relevant in their medium. Being dissatisfied with what he had learned, he started asking models and actors what they would want in an agency. With this information, he studied the industry, had multiple meetings with agencies in other states trying to make as many contacts as possible, and trying to create the best agency he could for his talent. The result of the work, contacts, and love of the industry, bore BTM and its desire to create an agency for professionals in fashion and entertainment that would treat them like family and create a community to help them be the best they can be in their careers. After opening Josh quickly realized that he needed someone to not only help with the rush of work that was already coming in, but to also keep his ambitions in check. He didn't hesitate in offering a partner role to Chelsea Salgat. The two of them together are working every day to create a better type of agency that allows the talent and the agency to earn according to the work they put in. Benjamin Talent Management is determined to make a positive splash in the entertainment industry and will soon be offering for new agents to come aboard and spread the idea that talent and agency should be working together symbiotically not one for another.

Our Approach

BTM is 100% non-exclusive, we have no sign on fees, website fees, or initial headshot fees if it’s done by our photographer. We take a fractionally higher percentage with booked work than other agencies, but the talent ends up with more money in the long run. The agency owner stated his career in the trades industry where contract companies make money by ensuring you have constant work coming. because if you’re not getting paid, they’re not getting paid. It is on this premise that he started BTM.

There is a morality clause in our contract that states the talent agrees to not take part in have any connection to the pornography industry, no excessive legal substance use (if over 21), no legal substance use by anyone under 21, no illegal substance use, and no lingerie work under the age of 18. We set these rules in place not to restrict our talent, but rather to keep them and our agency at a higher standard.
